Alexander Technique, Body-Mind Work


　It was right after I arrived in New York City in 1982 that I heard of the Alexander Technique. I only knew that the technique offered to train body, but hardly had any chance to acquire further knowledge of it. Twenty years later, I finally received my chance. The American Center for the Alexander Technique(ACAT) invited us to their group and private sessions, and moreover, offered me a personal lesson. After all, I have to say that this article should be considered to be an introduction to the technique; I realized that it was impossible to describe such profound technique just from a short term experience. If you find the technique interesting through this article, I recommend that you actually experience it for yourself.
