Diana Cartier,
Ballet Instructor
, ABT Studio

American Ballet Theatre is now in the middle of its season at the Metropolitan Opera House. But do you know that this world-famous ballet company has open classes? Open class means it is open to both pros and the general public, yes, for somebody like you. When the company is in town, some stars of ABT can be seen in the morning class to warm up before their rehearsal. Of course, a highly qualified teacher leads this class. It is Diana Cartier, who is a well-known teacher, not only in New York but also worldwide. Although she told me modestly, "People always say 90% of it is luck, and that’s the truth," her life as she told me about it was obviously more than that.
