Dance Theater Workshop
If you are a dancer who has been living in
NY for a few years, you may know Dance Theater
Workshop(DTW). It was a kind of a tucked-away
space on the second floor of a small building,
as if it were hiding from the public--a space
suitable to an experimental theater--but all
of the downtown dance experts knew about it.
The organization announced its renovation about
two years ago, and recently, last October, responded
with a completely different appearance. This
month we intorduced DTW as an organization with
its new building. Since David White, executive
director and producer was unfortunately out
of town. Craig Peterson, co-artistic director
of DTW, took us on a tour of the new facility
and answered questions for my interview. Mr.
Peterson has been with DTW for nine years.
